NOS8013 is a dual 4-20mA sensor supported by an I2C 16-bit analog-to-digital converter. By measuring the voltage drop across a (0.1% !)shunt resistor the current can be calculated in software for a highly-precise reading far surpassing regular ADCs built in to low-end microcontrollers due to its 62.5uV per LSB resolution.
Additionally, the module provides +12VDC output at up to 50mA to power sensors. Most 4-20mA sensors operate at a wide voltage range of +9VDC to +24VDC.
